Self-Hypnosis Script: Overcoming Fear of Inadequacy

 

Find a quiet, comfortable place. Sit or lie down in a position where your body can fully relax. Gently close your eyes…

Take a deep breath in… hold it for a moment… and slowly exhale…
Again, breathe in calmness… and breathe out any tension…
One more time… inhale deeply… and exhale slowly…

Allow your body to soften…
Allow your mind to become quiet…

Now, I will count down from 5 to 1…
With each number, you will drift deeper into a peaceful, calm state…
5 — Feel your body becoming heavy and relaxed…
4 — Let go of any worries or doubts…
3 — Your mind is open, safe, and receptive…
2 — Deeper and deeper into comfort…
1 — You are calm, peaceful, and ready to let go…

In your mind’s eye, imagine standing in front of a large, beautiful mirror…
But this is no ordinary mirror…
This mirror reflects not only your appearance… but your true worth…
The part of you that is whole, capable, and more than enough…

Look at your reflection…
See someone who is strong, capable, and worthy…
Someone who has made it through challenges…
Someone who keeps going…
Someone who is learning, growing, becoming…

Any old stories of “I’m not enough” are simply fading away…
They are not your truth…
They were voices from the past… but they do not belong in your present…
In this moment, you choose to release them…

Imagine now… those fears of inadequacy…
Picture them as small, grey clouds…
Floating in front of you…
And with each breath, you blow them gently away…
Watching them dissolve into the sky…
Far, far away…

In their place, feel warm golden light filling your heart…
This light is self-acceptance…
This light is self-worth…
It fills every cell of your body…
You are safe…
You are enough…
You have nothing to prove…
Just be… and that is enough…

Now, gently repeat these truths in your mind:
— I am enough exactly as I am.
— I am capable, worthy, and whole.
— I trust myself.
— I release all fear of not being enough.
— I am growing every day, and that is beautiful.
— I deserve kindness, love, and success.

Imagine yourself moving forward in life…
With calm confidence…
You are no longer weighed down by fear…
You step lightly, breathe freely…
You trust that you can handle whatever comes…
You are becoming stronger, wiser, and more radiant every day…

Now take a deep breath…
Feel gratitude for yourself… for showing up…
You are enough… you always were… and you always will be…

I will now count from 1 to 5…
At 5, you will open your eyes, feeling peaceful, empowered, and free from fear…
1… slowly coming back…
2… feeling light and refreshed…
3… moving your fingers and toes…
4… taking a deep, energizing breath…
5… eyes open… calm, confident, and completely enough.
