Induction Phase

Find a comfortable position where you can relax completely. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, gently close your eyes. Begin to focus on the rhythm of your breath, allowing each inhale to bring in calm and each exhale to release any tension. Imagine a warm, soothing light starting at the top of your head and slowly moving down, relaxing each part of your body as it flows from your scalp, down your face, your neck, and shoulders, all the way down to your toes.

Deepening Phase

"With every breath you take, feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. As I count down from 10 to 1, let yourself drift deeper into this state of relaxation. 10... feeling your body becoming heavy and relaxed... 9... deeper and deeper... 8... more at ease... 7... sinking further... 6... all the tension melting away... 5... halfway there... 4... more relaxed... 3... deeper still... 2... almost there... 1... deeply relaxed, calm, and at peace."

Suggestion Phase

Now, imagine yourself standing at a beautiful, serene crossroads. One path represents your life with alcohol, filled with chaos and pain. The other path is bright and inviting, representing a future of health, happiness, and freedom from alcohol. See yourself confidently choosing the path of freedom. With each step you take on this new path, feel a growing sense of strength and determination. Repeat to yourself, 'I am in control of my choices. I am free from the grip of alcohol. I choose a life of health and happiness.

Visualization and Future Pacing

Visualize a typical day in your life without alcohol. See yourself waking up feeling refreshed and energized. Picture yourself engaging in activities you love, spending time with loved ones, and handling challenges with clarity and confidence. Notice how good it feels to be in control of your actions and decisions. Imagine the pride and joy you feel living a life free from alcohol's influence, enjoying the benefits of sobriety, such as better health, stronger relationships, and increased self-esteem.

Ego-Strengthening

"You are strong, capable, and resilient. Every day, in every way, you are getting better and better. You have the power to overcome any challenge, including your desire for alcohol. You deserve to live a life filled with joy, health, and fulfillment. Remember that every positive choice you make reinforces your strength and your commitment to a sober life."

Reorientation Phase

In a moment, I will count from 1 to 5, and as I do, you will gradually return to full awareness, bringing back with you a sense of empowerment and readiness to live a healthy, alcohol-free life. 1... beginning to awaken... 2... becoming more aware of your surroundings... 3... bringing back the feelings of strength and determination... 4... almost there... and 5, eyes open, fully awake, feeling wonderful and ready to embrace your new, alcohol-free life.

Closing

Take a moment to notice how good you feel, how relaxed and confident you are. Remember that you carry this strength and determination with you always. You are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. As you go about your day, continue to reinforce these positive changes, knowing that you are on the path to a healthier, happier, and alcohol-free life. Whenever you need to, you can return to this state of calm and relaxation, reinforcing your commitment to sobriety. Take a deep breath, and as you exhale, feel a sense of gratitude for the positive steps you are taking. Now, go forward with confidence and peace.
